Before founding Dropbox, Drew received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT in 2006. He took a quick leave from school to form Accolade, an online SAT prep startup, and also worked as a software engineer at various startups.
After graduating, Drew was endlessly frustrated by carrying USB drives and emailing himself files. In early 2007, he teamed up with fellow MIT student Arash Ferdowsi and the two began working on the project that would eventually become Dropbox.

Swimmy founded BizReach in 2009, a premier online professional networking service connecting career-driven Japanese professionals and talent seeking employers. LUXA, a discovery e-commerce site empowering consumers in finding unique curated products, and RegionUP, an APAC version of BizReach based out of Singapore was subsequently launched inside of BizReach in 2010 and 2012 respectively. The group now combines to employ over 300 staff representing 7 different nationalities. Previously, Swimmy was a founding member of the Rakuten Eagles, a Japanese professional baseball team, as well as being an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. He is a graduate of Tufts University.

Waichi Sekiguchi is an editorial writer for Nikkei, the largest economic daily news in Asia. He joined Nikkei in 1982 and has been covering the IT industry and cyberspace issues for over 20 years. As a Washington correspondent during the Bush and Clinton Administrations in the early 90s, Sekiguchi covered US trade and government policies. He was a fulbright fellow at the Center for International Affairs at Harvard University in the late 80s, and was a chief writer for the Nikkei Weekly, the English edition of the Nikkei. Sekiguchi served as a news commentator for a NHK World TV program "Nikkei Japan Report" in 2009-2012 and as a main caster at a BS Japan program "NIKKEI × BS Live 7PM" in 2012-2013. Sekiguchi graduated from Hitotsubashi University, and is currently a visiting professor at Hosei University Business School and the Center for Global Communications (GLOCOM) at the International University of Japan.

Hiroshi Mikitani is Chairman and CEO of Rakuten, Inc., one of the world's leading e-commerce companies. Born in Kobe, Japan, Mikitani graduated from Hitotsubashi University in 1988, and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1993. Personal tragedy in the 1995 Great Hanshin earthquake inspired Mikitani to leave a promising career in investment banking to create something that he thought would be more meaningful to society. Starting out with just a handful of team members, Mikitani launched the "Rakuten Ichiba" marketplace in May 1997. While serving as president, he is also the chief producer of "Ameba" and commits to expanding services as chief technical director. In 2000 he listed the company in the Mothers section of Tokyo Stock Exchange as the youngest president (at the time) in the stock exchange's history.

Yasufumi Kanemaru is an active member of the Japan Association of New Economy Project Team chairing the "Japan - 30 year vision" project. Kanemaru launched his career in 1979 when he joined TKC Corporation, and later moved on to Logic Systems International (now Logic Corp). In 1985, he was the youngest Executive Director at NTT PC Communications where he served for four years before establishing the Future System Consulting Corp.
